Do You Web Hosting And Its Types ?

What Is Web Hosting And Their Types

Hosting: Web hosting services work by storing your website files in high-powered computers (web servers) connected to a very fast network. It is a service that allows organizations and individuals to post a website or web page onto the Internet.

A web host, or web hosting service provider, is a business that provides the technologies and services needed for the website or webpage to be viewed in the Internet. Websites are hosted, or stored, on special computers called servers. The Internet connects to the web server holding your website files and then transfers your website information back to their computer. From there they can surf and view the pages of your website.

When Internet users want to view your website, all they need to do is type your website address or domain into their browser. Their computer will then connect to your server and your webpages will be delivered to them through the browser.

Types of Web Hosting

1. Shared Hosting – Cheapest, Best for Beginners:

Shared hosting means that a number of users share one physical server. Web hosting is the storage of a website and the delivery of its web pages to the Internet. With shared hosting, also known as virtual hosting, the web host houses the files for several websites on the same server. This allows your website to maintain a strong connection to the Internet without the cost of running your own server.

Shared web hosting saves time and headaches because somebody else is taking care of the server’s maintenance. The server expenses are distributed equally among the users. Thus, Shared Hosting is the most affordable hosting service.

2. VPS Hosting – More powerful than Shared hosting :

VPS web hosting is one of several types of web hosting accounts you can choose from to host your website online. To have a website on the internet, you need to have your website files on a web server. Setting up and managing a server can not only be expensive, but difficult too.

Purchasing web hosting allows someone to rent space on a web server, making it easier for the average person to have host a website online because all they need to do is upload their site files (no server setup is needed on their part). In VPS Web Hosting, Full root access allows total control over your hosting environment, including custom installs and configuration.

This is optimal for people that have very high traffic to their websites or need to setup their server in a very specific way. Not everyone needs to have a fully dedicated web server however. If you’re just getting started with your website, you can save quite a bit of money if you rent a small portion of the server.

Shared hosting is when you share a portion of the server with other users rather than rent an entire server to yourself. The technology behind VPS hosting is similar to that of VMware or Virtual Box.

For example, your desktop may be running Windows 7, but you can also run other operating systems such as Windows XP or Linux without needing to restart your computer.

3. Dedicated Hosting – If Your Site Exceeds 100k Visits/month.

4. Cloud Hosting. It is very expensive and Site Exceeds Unlimited Visits/month.
